GRABA Named an Elite Respect the Game Award Winner for 2026 by MYAS
GRABA has been named a recipient of the MYAS Elite Respect the Game Award for the 2026 season. This recognition arrives as part of a renewed commitment by MYAS, in partnership with Saint City Consulting, to ensure that youth sports prioritize safe, positive, and productive environments. For GRABA, this honor serves as a showing of our dedication to fostering a culture where every athlete, coach, and spectator contributes to a respectful experience.
During the 2026 Grade State Basketball Tournament, officials evaluated teams after every game, providing a "yes" or "no" assessment regarding their conduct. To achieve the distinguished "Elite" designation, an organization was required to record a perfect 100% positive rating across all of its participating games. By consistently meeting these high standards of behavior, the Grand Rapids community distinguished itself as a leader in sportsmanship, proving that integrity and competitive excellence go hand-in-hand.
This award is a testament to the discipline and character of the volunteers, coaches, parents, and players who upheld these values under the pressure of tournament play. As GRABA looks toward future seasons, this accomplishment serves as a proud benchmark, ensuring that the "Respect the Game" philosophy remains at the very heart of our program’s identity.
Thank you to everyone who represented the black and orange proudly and properly.
